                                    CINDERELLA

                                       SCENE 1

C:  GOOD MORNING DADDY, DEAR

F: Good morning, my child. How are you?

C: Fine, daddy ,and you?

F: I’m OK, but my child…

C: Yes, daddy?

( ENTER LADY SYBIL)

St: Cinderella. What are you doing? You’re not working!

F: But…

St: Work, girl, work. Make the breakfast. I’m hungry. I want my toast, jam, cheese and a cup of tea.

C: Yes, stepmother

St: My daughters are coming down

( ENTER PAT AND LIZ)

They say GOOD MORNING  each other

P: We’ll go to the ball today. What shall we wear, I wonder? We haven’t got new clothes. And I want some new clothes for the ball. I want a party dress.

L: And me too. I want a beautiful white evening dress.

C: And me, too. I can’t wear these old clothes. I want some new clothes

St:

P:            YOU?

L:

C: Yes, me.

St: You can’t go to the ball.

P: You must wash the dishes

L: You must make beds

( Pat and Liz in turn order C. to do the job:

MAKE THE DRESSES

IRON THE DRESSES

WASH THE FLOOR

GO TO THE SHOP

BUY FOOD AND DRINK)

    AFTER THE MICE’S DANCE

St:

P:   REPEAT THE INSTRUCTIONS IN TURN

L:

St: May be after that you’ll go to the ball.

                                         SCENE 4

FAIRY GODMOTHER

C: What can I do now? I haven’t got new clothes. I can’t go to the ball now. It’s9 o’clock. The ball is starting. Who can help me?

F: I can help you, CINDERELLA

C: But who are you?

F: I’m your FAIRY GODMOTHER. And this is my page. Now tell me what your problem is.

Why are you crying?

P: Who has offended you? What has happened?

C: I can’t go to the ball and I want to go. The stepmother and sisters scoff me.

They say if I don’t wash the floor, sort out the grain, sew up dresses, cook the supper, I won’t go to the ball.

P: It’s not a problem. I’ll help you.

F: Well, let me see. Aha! That’s a good idea! Cinderella, give me a pumpkin, that pumpkin over there!

C: Here you are!

F: Now you stand there, near the pumpkin. One, two, three… Look! Here is your carriage! One horse and one driver. Now you can go to the ball.

C: Oh! But my clothes! I can’t wear these at the ball.

F: M-m-m, Close your eyes! One, two, three… Open your eyes!

C: These clothes are beautiful!

P and F: Go to the ball and don’t worry. But remember: you must return beforemidnight, otherwise everything will turn back.

C: Oh, yes,yes. Thank you! Thank you!

P: Bye, have a good time.
